Resize and refine your pool by adjusting requirements.
Why use insights
Talent Pool Insights is a sensitivity analysis on your briefing requirements. It shows what happens to your pool if you move requirements between must-have and nice-to-have.
It is useful at any stage, but especially after you reviewed a meaningful set of checked candidates.
How to use it
- Open the briefing you want to base insights on.
- Generate Talent Pool Insights from that briefing.
- Review suggestions in both directions:
- Expanding Talent Pool: move must-have -> nice-to-have
- Narrowing Talent Pool: move nice-to-have -> must-have
- Move one or two requirements at a time.
- Save and recategorize.
Use Expanding when you have checked the candidates that make sense to check and still do not have enough strong matches. Use Narrowing when too many candidates pass your checklist.
Candidate categories
- A Candidates: Fulfill all must-have requirements and all nice-to-have requirements
- B Candidates: Fulfill all must-have requirements and some nice-to-have requirements
- C Candidates: Fulfill all must-have requirements but no nice-to-have requirements
- No Fit Candidates: Lacking at least one must-have requirement
What recategorize does
- Updates your already checked candidates in place
- Recalculates fit scores.
- Reassigns candidates across categories.
- Applies your latest requirement logic across the pool.
- Keeps your imported pool intact.
Recategorization is free and does not consume additional credits.
Common tuning moves
- Promote domain experience to must-have when quality is too loose.
- Demote non-critical tool familiarity to nice-to-have.
- Increase weight on differentiators that matter for your hiring manager.
Practical rule of thumb
- Start broad enough to avoid missing strong profiles.
- Tighten in one or two moves.
- Recheck A and B volume after each recategorization.
Share and copy insights
- Use Share Insights to create a public link when you want to discuss requirement adjustments with hiring managers, clients, or stakeholders who do not have TalentSourcer AI access.
- Use Copy Insights to copy a structured summary you can paste into chat, email, or an LLM to speed up decision support and communication.
